It was a fun adventure but time for us to go home!

Our trip to Utah

Over Thanksgiving, Me and four of the kids drove to Utah to see Papa who was and still is in the hospital.  We left David, Carson, and Callie home to work, not get behind in school, and bond.  Papa went into the hospital on Thursday the 10th of November with some infection.  By Saturday he was in the ICU and intubated by Sunday.  His white blood cell count was 22 when he was admitted and has been as high as 49.  The norm is between 4 and 10.  The kids, George, Ginger, Lucy, Liza, and I, left the afternoon of the 16th.  We stayed the night in Kennewick, then continued the next day.  I am so glad I was able to go and see my dad.  We came home on the 1st of Dec. When I left, Dad was still having trouble waking up from his sedation and was not moving anything but his eyelids.  Today my dad is being transfered to an acute care hospital.  He is still on the ventilator and s l o w l y moving his limbs again.  Still not knowing what caused all of this, we are just glad he is improving.
