Warmer weather!

I needed to get rid of my mug shot so here are some shots from a warm day last week.

It is so nice to have the kids go outside.



My new glasses.

Last summer Liza got a hold of my glasses and broke them beyond repair.  So for the last 10 months I have worn my contacts or my old out-dated glasses.  I am so happy to finally get some new glasses.  The kids were even complaining about my old glasses.

Things just don't seem to stop around here.  The kids just finished 2 weeks of testing at school last week.  The end of the school year is coming quickly.  Although school gets out much later here than in other places we have lived.  June 21st is their last day.  Lucy's(kindergarten) last day is the 17th.  

Lucy is loving hot rollers in her hair these days.  She was so excited to go to school with curly hair.  She wasn't to stressed with testing.

We have been enjoying the outdoors more and more these days.  Warmer days and drier weather.  This is our neighbors little boy with Liza.  My neighbor took them on a ride around the neighborhood.  I just love his checks!

These two are so funny to watch together.  He is about 4 months older than her.

Yesterday Lucy asked me if I would play Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? on the Wii.  I told her no because I had some things that I needed to get done.  She asked again pleading.  I said "no, because you need me to play with you and I can't right now."  "PLEASE" she said.  I said, "Fine but I'm not going to help."  "Okay mom thanks, I can do it." 

10 minutes later...

"Mom will you help me dress my person?"  She hadn't even gotten to the questions.  "Okay, just a minute."

I help her dress her person like she wanted and got her to the questions.  "Okay Mom, which one is right?"she says.  I can't pass up getting a question right so I help her.  Again with the next question.  So I had given in.  We play a little until we lose for the 2nd time.  I say, "Okay Lucy,  I'm done."  "Mom, please."she responds.  "No Lucy I've got to get back to this."I say.  Then Lucy says, "Mom I'm not smarter than a 5th grader without you."

I'm glad that her smarts and my smarts together are smarter than a 5th grader!                                              ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With all of the news happenings this weekend I have been listening to Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.  (Probably to much)  With me(one who is rarely alone) listening, little ears listen as well.  Rush had sarcasticly said, "Obama killed Osama."  Lucy said, "Obama killed a llama?".  I had to chuckle.  I then told her that Obama didn't kill anyone and a little about what happened this weekend. 

It still makes me chuckle.
