Ensign Ranch

Last weekend I went with the youth in my ward/congregation to Cle Elem, WA for a snow trip.  It is a tradition in our ward/congregation to go annually to the Ensign Ranch there for a spiritual evening and then sledding the next day.  I had a blast.  First of all, 2 of the youth were my own children.  It was fun to see Callie and Carson interact with their peers and to embarrass them.  I do the later so well!
The sledding was so much fun, even on 3 hours of sleep.  We had some collisions but nothing serious.  It was a gorgeous day for it.
This is a picture of the pond on the ranch.  Beautiful!

Phrase of the day

"Mom, I miss Grammy already!"  Said by all

MEGAMIND

This past Monday Mom(who is in town visiting) and I took the kids to see their first 3D film.  The kids loved it. I forgot my camera at home but Liza looked so dang cute sitting in her seat with a bag of popcorn and her 3D glasses on.  Here are some shots of her at home modeling her spectacles.

George's birthday

George lookin' good on his way to school on his birthday.

George's YUMMY chocolate cake.

George took some brownies to his class on his birthday.  He wanted "brownies with powdered sugar on top".  He liked having his baby sister there to show his friends.

Callie's birthday

For her birthday she got a facial, hence her beautiful glow.  She says she loved it, but who wouldn't.
She had the choice of that or a mani or a pedi.

Callie turned 12 last month.  She loves being a part of the Young Women program at church.  There are 13 girls her age.  That is one wild and crazy bunch of girls but fun.

Callie is growing into a beautiful young lady.  I feel so privileged to be her mother.  She loves to read, write, draw, bake, and doing crafts.  Since she turned 12 she has been playing basketball with the YW at church.  Well, we have discovered that she is pretty talented at.  She really enjoys playing.  I'll post some pictures later.

Lucy's portrait of Martin Luther King Jr.

Ginger and Lucy loved learning about Martin Luther King Jr. in January.  I got to see Lucy's artwork hanging in the hall when I went to a program of Callie's at the school..
