Eva Lillian Martin

**I forgot to mention that her sweetheart passed away in 1985 so there is a long awaited reunion happening**

David's maternal grandmother passed away this morning. She had a heart attack on Friday and didn't recover from it. She was 93. Sue, David's mom, was able to drive up to Washington from southern Oregon to be there when she passed.

I met Grandma Jenkins a few months after David and I were married. About year after that she suffered a stroke and then went to an assisted living facility. Carson was born before the stroke because I have a picture of them together when he was really little. Because of the stroke she lost her eye sight gradually and some mobility which later got worse.

We have visited her a several times throughout the years which has been nice. The last time though was when Ginger was a baby so its been about five years.

Here is a picture of Grandma Jenkins with little David and his brother Matt. David is on the left. It is one of the only pictures I have of her on the computer right now.

News

After all the blog news lately, I had to think that we don't have a new baby grand piano and I don't believe that any of my sisters are pregnant (a couple of them better not be) but we do have a little news of our own.

This coming April we will be having a new little baby around our home.

No more cast for Ginger

Today Ginger got her cast off. Its the arm on the right of the picture. She still has the urge to keep it bent a little. Her bone is healing nicely though. We are all so glad to have the cast gone. She is excited to take a bath and swim in the water. Don't you love her accessories.

Haircut

I chopped 7 or so inches off my hair. It is so much more manageable.

Here's a funny

After high school I went to Ricks(BYU Idaho) for two years but haven't continued with school since. David and I have talked many times about me going back to school to finish. The kids have been a part of some of these conversations in the past. Well, while waiting in the audience of David's graduation last month from the University of Phoenix, Callie asked me, "Mom, when you graduate from high school can we bring flowers for you?" After laughing a little I let her know that I've graduated from high school its just college that I haven't finished. She says, "Really, I thought you had to finish high school." Its now a joke between David and I that I need to finish high school. Please don't make me go back!!!
